Reactive power compensation systems are intended for the compensation of electrical energy of inductive receivers causing overloading and overheating of electric cables.

They consist of static capacitors and switching elements that provide connecting or disconnecting capacitor steps as needed, short-circuit protection elements and controllers which controls the automatic electrical installation as needed.
